The Royal Armouries

Our design team has successfully completed several major exhibition projects for the Royal Armouries, as part of our framework agreement. These include the complete redevelopment of Fort Nelson, Hampshire, and three exhibitions within the iconic White Tower, Tower of London – Powerhouse, Storehouse and Armoury in Action.

Working within highly sensitive historic environments was a key consideration for each project, finding appropriate yet impactful design solutions to engage the Armouries’ diverse audience profiles.

As landmark historical sites, Fort Nelson and the Tower of London attract significant numbers of visitors each year. Devising effective design strategies to manage visitor flow, whilst providing an outstanding experience has been forefront in our creative approach, along with injecting frequent ‘photo’ moments, such as the ever popular ‘Keeper’ the bejewelled dragon who welcomes visitors to the Powerhouse exhibition.
