Children’s Museum, Jordan
Inspiring children to explore the world
This landmark project was the vision of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, whose intention was to create a highly interactive environment for children and their carers. We were first appointed to develop the brief, masterplan the space and visualise potential exhibit experiences. We were later commissioned to work with the project steering group to complete design development and oversee construction.
Our design solutions have a fresh and contemporary feel, creating a multi-sensory and participatory environment where children up to the age of 14 can learn about the arts, sciences, technology and industry. As part of the interpretative development we arranged a study tour of comparable attractions to assist the client and architectural teams forge a common understanding of international best-practice in this field. The resulting scheme has provided Jordan with an inviting facility where children can learn-by-doing.
