In July the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) unveiled the location and rendering of the Oklahoma Museum of Popular Culture (OKPOP) which will break ground this fall.
OKPOP is dedicated to sharing the story of the creativity of Oklahoma’s people and their influence on popular culture around the world.
OKPOP staff are actively collecting artefacts, photographs, archival materials, film, video and audio recordings that represent Oklahoma’s wide-ranging contributions to all branches of cultural pop heritage.
hsd has been appointed as the exhibition designers in addition to supporting the creation and direction of the building architecture through a series of workshops with the client (OHS) and architectural partners.
We have enjoyed an ongoing relationship with the OHS since working on the Oklahoma History Centre, which opened back in 2005. It’s great to be working with the team again on this exciting new museum.
