New branding for Tallahassee Museum

hsd helping breathe new life into museum’s brand

The Tallahassee Museum, an iconic Tallahassee landmark for almost 60 years, recently launched its new corporate brand. Unveiling a new logo and an enhanced visual communications strategy designed by hsd.

We creatively explored new brand options, brand positioning and developed brand collateral, including a new tone and a sense of voice for the Museum. As the Tallahassee Museum is situated across a large 52-acre site, it was imperative that the branding and visual identity had a unique and singular identity.

“Our new logo, communications strategy and more appropriate visual identity better reflects how the Tallahassee Museum has grown,” said Russell Daws, president and CEO of the Tallahassee Museum.

Earlier this year hsd finalised an interpretative Master Plan for the Museum. The interpretative master plan guides staff in communicating and delivering the Museum’s educational messages, identifies ways that the collections best convey ideas, recommends new and more effective interpretative strategies and creates a reference for designing future exhibits and programmes.

“The Tallahassee Museum has had the pleasure of working with Haley Sharpe Design for the past 6 years.  Our journey with Haley Sharpe Design has been institutionally exciting, reflective and revolutionary!  Haley Sharpe’s world-wide experience and depth of knowledge brought to us by their team and their truly collaborative approach in working with us has awakened us to our Museum’s tremendous potential for the future.”

Next year, the organization plans to roll out even more improvements as part of their interpretative master plan.
